This Friedrich Ductless Split System M12YJ professionally installed in 2017 (with 11 months still remaining on the warranty) has had repeated component failures requiring warranty parts replacements, with the labor costs always on our dime. Nosotros essentially had 2 trouble-free years before things started going southward, on a 5 year warranty.

Each fourth dimension nosotros had to request warranty parts replacement (rotary fan threw a couple blades off & became unbalanced; and condenser ringlet that adult several leaks from premature corrosion) information technology took 3 to 5 months to gain approval & our HVAC contractor to receive these parts. Information technology's like if your refrigerator went out while under warranty, could yous wait several months for relief? No... The issue today (compressor failure) pushed us over the edge to the point where we relented on pursuing further warranty parts claims & ordered a new mini-split system of some other brand to be installed. So, what expert is a warranty under such circumstances?

My new Friedrich unit keeps cycling off and on. The Friedrich tech says the internal thermostat is getting confused, that I demand a remote thermostat. They stopped making remotes for this model in 2019.

I bought a PTAC (model #Wallmaster WE12D33-A) in March of 2016. The unit was installed in early on May. In August of 2019 the air conditioner failed. A certified repairman replaced the condenser and compressor at that fourth dimension. The warranty but partially covered the almost $1,000 repair. In May of 2021 the unit was once again not functioning. A $one thousand.00 got me 1 summer of use. The certified repairman came back and indicated I needed a new unit. I made repeated calls to Friedrich service and client/warranty departments with no results later 3 weeks of trying and callback requests. I patently bought a "lemon". Accept accept received no proficient faith attempt past Friedrich to rectify the problem. Exercise not buy or do business ever with Friedrich. They are not a reputable company and do not stand behind their products. Their customer service is completely not-responsive (if y'all can get through). They exercise not care.

We have had three Kuhl Ac'south (thru wall), models SQ06N10B and SQ06N10C. Each and every one has failed afterward 1-3 years and they are not cheap! Once, a unit stopped cooling after 2 years (all same failure), Friedrich authorized i of their repair outfits to look at it. They had information technology from Sept 2016 to April 2017, unable to repair and then Friedrich replaced it. The replacement failed in one yr! Another unit failed at 3 years, authorized repair could not repair it after 6 months, Friedrich had to replace information technology. That replacement failed after 2 years aforementioned fashion. We now take a unit that is failing afterwards just three years, bereft cooling like others. Only in the meantime Friedrich pulled a fast one, no longer warranty on both parts plus labor on sealed system, merely parts. So, a repair, if possible could run shut to a thousand dollars if they spend a lot of time on information technology! Not only that, the replacements they sent in past years are guaranteed only from date that failed unit was bought.

Notation that all failed units made IN MEXICO. Information technology should be noted that over 20 years agone we had wall units from Friedrich and 2 out of iii nevertheless work, they used to brand skillful products but no more than! One spends $seventy-$800 on a wall unit and consistently fails in 1-3 years? NO More than. Will purchase inexpensive window units from now on, probable Japanese! STAY AWAY FROM FRIEDRICH - they are junk at present and accept a terrible warranty!

Friedrich a/c rebate is a scam as stated by others on this site. I take been waiting for my rebate since summer 2020. Information technology is now May 2021. When you call, they verify address and promise information technology is enroute. I also received an email confirmation that the check is on the way...over again. They constantly try to arraign my address that has never inverse; I have NO problems receiving mail. I reported them to Better Business Bureau. They lied to BBB and claimed that they reached out to me to verify my address...yet again! I will study them to my land Consumer Affairs next. This is going on for several months now. Imagine the desperation of a decadent business organisation that prefers to play games with consumers rather than transport a $thirty rebate check. Friedrich has destroyed their reputation. I volition never buy their products again.

Purchased a Friedrich Room Air Conditioner in Baronial. Information technology came with a $thirty rebate offer. Rebate will be sent in 4-6 weeks. Information technology is now Dec. No rebate. I contacted "support". Don't bother calling as they don't answer. I emailed "support". I did get a reply that basically said... "Hey, we sent it to our rebate vendor (whatever that is) and they must be running behind. Your rebate was approved, information technology'southward just that they are running behind." I followed up with another email saying "I desire my rebate at present."... Reply..."I told you, they are running backside." I filed a complaint with the BBB (there were 32 complaints most Friedrich there before mine).

My advice... don't buy from this company. Research every major purchase you make. Google the company's name and add the give-and-take "complaints" or "Bug" to it. I also filed complaints with my country'southward Consumer Affairs Office and the Office of the Attorney General. I contacted the local Friedrich dealer (the one I purchased the unit from) and gave him the details. He said he would cheque out the BBB website and hash out it with other dealers in the expanse. I hope they stop buying from this company.

I accept been going through cypher but bedevilment since I purchased a Friedrich thru the wall air conditioner (model UCT12a10a) in Apr 22, 2019, used information technology for four months, uncovered information technology this flavor just to have warm air coming from the unit. Because the year was up I had to go through Friedrich express warranty. Due to (covid 19) every Friedrich repair shop in my area was closed, couldn't become anyone to come and check out the AC. The process with Friedrich went back and forth until June when I was told my merely pick was to go to a repair store they recommended that was out of land to drop off the Ac. Three weeks afterwards received a call from the repair shop to option up the air conditioning. The air-conditioning worked for a few days just to accept the same problem return.

Spoke to Friedrich hoping peradventure I could get some kind of replacement or refund and I was told my only option was to go back to the aforementioned repair store to get it fixed. And then again I went out of state to drop off the air conditioning. I tried to leave feedback at PC Richards where I purchased the air conditioner, I received an email in August saying my feedback cannot be published to the website. I besides received another e-mail for my contact information so they can contact the vendor on my behalf to see if they tin can resolve the issue. I and so received a telephone call that the air conditioning would be replaced, come to the store drop off the old unit of measurement and pick up the new ac. Well hither I am again ii months later on with a replacement Friedrich UCT12A10A, same problem, warm air coming from the unit. I am Washed with Friedrich products!

I had a mini-split arrangement installed and I am very disappointed. Thought I was buying a proper noun make in Friedrich but I am very disappointed and unhappy with the units. Indoor air handlers are noisy. Units shut off in the middle of the night without warning. Friedrich client service is USELESS!! Don't fifty-fifty bother calling them. I am working with my HVAC installer to get the organization replaced with another brand. Exercise yourself a large favor and choose another brand. Pay the extra $$ and become Mitsubishi or Fujitsu. I have learned the hard way!

Purchased 1st Friedrich mini separate considering visitor is based in Texas. I quickly discovered that the installation "manual" LOL was clearly not produced in the Lone Star Land. THE MANUALS ARE TERRIBLE! That said, however, the units (I have personally now installed iii of them) are quite proficient. Why did I purchase the next two? Afterward the 1st install, I no longer needed the so chosen installation manual(southward). I strongly suggest that earlier you purchase (if you program to DIY) examine the installation manuals online. Yous will detect for case that LG's documentation to be extensive and Friedrich's very minimal. -- I might add that a couple of calls to customer service dept were also less than satisfactory. I give the units iv stars and the documentation ane star.

Just getting someone on the phone is incommunicable, every-time is over an hour agree. I call to have assist with setting upwards WiFi, which I have had no problem doing on older models. They rather tell you lot the times they "called" y'all Back than merely fix the appointment to fix upwardly my WiFi. They are clueless, don't actively listen to what you demand, and cavalier. If I didn't hardwire these ac'south into the wall I would throw them In the trash! Beyond so stressful trying to get any help from this visitor. Ac don't become that common cold and are so much louder than older models. These will be my concluding air-conditioning purchases from them.
